The Days of Our Coronavirus Continue…

As you will notice from my post graphic and date stamp today is Thursday, April 2, 2020. Yes, I had to actually take a look at my phone to figure out what day it is! Days seem to be blending into one another as the Coronavirus pandemic continues. A microscopic collection of genetic material has been able to dramatically alter life the way we were accustomed to living. This altered way of life will continue for the forseeable future.

I am fortunate in that the company I work for continues to operate in a remote mode but there are many people I know who have been temporarily laid off of their jobs. The government has started the process of issuing stimulus money for individuals who make under a certain amount of money, sending more dollars to those who have kids. They are also extending the duration of time individuals who have lost their jobs can remain on unemployment insurance and continue to collect money.

On a positive note the nicer weather is starting to arrive here on the east coast. For those who don’t know I live in the suburbs just outside of Philadelphia. This weekend should be in the 60s with sun so I am very excited for that. Yay!

Registering Vazoom with the Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) of the U.S. Department of Commerce

I have decided to submit a registration on the Federal level to Service Mark the Vazoom logo (www.vazoom.com) with the US Patent Office.  It could take a long time before the registration is approved however I feel it’s a good idea. While there is protection against somebody stealing the logo registering it on this level protects it.  The only change to the logo that will come once the approval is given will be a  ® icon on the top right portion of the M.  If I wanted to I could use the letters SM ony my own legally until it is officially approved.

Trip #2 to Emergency Room This Year

This past week I had been feeling very under the weather and in a lot of pain.  Several visits to my primary doctor and several drugs later I still felt pain.  Thursday night while at dinner with a friend I began experiencing even worse pain around my side towards the back. Of course I dealt with it until Friday morning around 2:30a when it got to a point where I couldn’t take it anymore.  I went to the emergency room at Llankenau Hospital which is the same hospital I had my gallbladder removed almost a year ago from.  I had to rush to the emergency room when I had a gallbladder type attack at work.  After an IV and some crazy drugs the pain subsided. A catscan revealed that I had a kidney stone.  I am finally feeling a little better and I am happy to be operational once again. I’d say 85% right now.

Cabinets Are All In Along With Recessed Lights

My brother in law gave me a hand this weekend finishing up the install of the cabinets and countertops on the sink side of the kitchen.  We also installed the recessed lighting fixtures although since my dumbass broken one the the ceramic bulb holders on one of the 4 cans,  I will have to return and exchange it for a new one.  Below are just a couple pics of the sink side.  The next steps involve ordering more molding for the cabinets and looking in a microwave to set underneath the wall cabinet.  I will also finish up connecting the recessed lights off the switch leads.  Steps soon to come are putting in the the tild backsplash and getting a stove.  Re-routing of the existing gas line will have to be done.  I must also run and electrical leade for the dishwasher too.

Some Additional Kitchen Updates… More House Updates

The painting is basically done it really doesn’t matter much especially given the fact that most of the walls are going to be covered up by either cabinets or the eventual tile backsplash.  The next step is to remove the old gas line from where the stove was and then solder on new connections for the sink to the existing copper pipe.  I also need to run an additional circuit up for the dishwasher.
